What is Handthentic?

Handthentic is a trust badge, creator directory, and growing community for work finished by people, not prompts.
We verify creative projects & artists that reflect real skill, effort, and authorship… and we spotlight the humans behind them.


Is this anti-AI?

Not at all.
We respect AI and how it can help with ideas, drafts, or references.
But Handthentic exists to protect the moments where the work has to come from you.
Your hands, your mind, your taste. That’s what we verify.

Who can apply?

If you create original work like design, writing, illustration, editing, or video… and the final result wasn’t generated or enhanced by AI, you’re eligible.
You can use AI for mockups, reference, or inspiration.
But the end result has to be made by you.

What counts as “human-made” work?

Here’s the line:
If AI was used to write, generate, illustrate, or clean up the final output, it’s out.
If AI helped you brainstorm, explore options, or even mock up your idea… but the execution is yours… it qualifies.

How do you verify creators?

You’ll fill out a short form, upload a few examples of your work, and optionally include a screen recording of your process.
Every application is reviewed by a real person. We take it seriously.

Is it free?

Yes. Verification is free right now.
We’ll introduce paid features later, but the badge and directory will always have a free option.

What do verified creators get?

• A profile in the Handthentic directory with tags, links, and your socials

• Your own verified Handthentic Badge, that links to your profile - AND permission to use the badge on your portfolio, socials, or website

• Possible features in our creator spotlights, showcases, and referrals
  
  

Can I show my work on the site?

Yes. You can upload up to five pieces of work, including a video/montage as well!
You can also choose to have select projects featured in our Verified Gallery.
Everything includes full credit and links back to you.

What if I use AI sometimes, but not for every project?

That’s totally fine. If you sometimes use AI but can stand behind specific work that’s made entirely by you, (no generation or enhancement) you can apply to verify that work.


Can I lose my badge?

Yes. If a creator misrepresents how their work was made or submits AI-generated content under the badge, we’ll remove their listing.
This only works if everyone’s honest, and we protect that trust.

I’m not sure if I qualify. Should I still apply?

Yes. If you believe in the value of human-made work and you’re willing to stand behind what you submit, we want to hear from you.
